Budget-friendly BenQ has added a new low-cost model to its digital camera line up.
Whats so interesting about the BenQ DC C800 is that it offers an 8-Megapixel capture resolution (3264x2448 pixels) for just £147 ($259), which is fantastic value. The camera also features a 3x optical zoom lens (focal length of 38.01 to 108.73mm, F=7.94 to 22.71), the equivalent of much more expensive models.
The black-and-silver BenQ C800 digital camera has a sleek, compact design (89x61x33mm, 140g), is relatively versatile in functions, and should be an ideal option for consumers seeking a high quality multi-function digital camera at a very reasonable asking price.
BenQ once again steps onto the global stage by providing consumers with digital cameras that possess high quality lens, a large comfortable display, and enriched features in a compact, stylish design, said Peter Chen, BenQ Vice-President and Digital Media Business Group General Manager.
The compact also sports a MPEG-4 movie format and a relatively large 2.4-inch TFT LCD (480x234 pixels) for clear and comfortable photo viewing. The DC C800 digital camera is equipped with Printer Mode for direct printing via compatible printer and Burst Mode, which allows four shots to be taken per snap. The BenQ DC C800 digital camera can be used as a dictaphone and is bundled with 32MB built-in memory.
The camera is PictBridge compatible for computer-independent printing, integrates a Secure Digital Slot for added memory, has a built-in microphone and speaker, and runs off two AA batteries. The camera weighs just 140g.
