U.S. Robotics has unveiled its Skype-certified USB Internet Speakerphone, the newest in the company’s family of Skype products. The speakerphone will be available through resellers later this month and is priced at $49.99 (£28.99).

The USB Internet Speakerphone (USR9610) lets you make hands-free Skype calls.

With echo cancellation technology, volume and mute buttons, and full-duplex operation, the USR9610 should work just like a traditional speakerphone, only without the cost of a long distance call. The speakerphone is light and promises to be easy to install.

Pitched at business travellers far from home, split families around the world, and those looking to cut their long distance costs, U.S. Robotics’ Skype products are a part of the company’s effort to deliver sophisticated yet simple connectivity solutions to home, home office and small office, and small business customers.
