Creative GigaWorks T20 Hi-Fi Speakers

Creative has added to its ever-growing line of compuer accessories. The GigaWorks T20 are designed to deliver full-range stereo sound for highest fidelity results and maximum music pleasure (don’t all speaker manufacturers say that? - Ed!) - without a subwoofer!

Based on the design principles of the GigaWorks family, the GigaWorks T20 claims to set new performance standards for 2-way desktop stereo. ‘We designed this system to be the perfect choice for people who demand the finest quality in stereo enjoyment,’ says Andrew Barker, European Business Manager for Speakers with Creative.

‘A growing number of people are looking for ultimate detail, ‘presence’ and reproduction with MP3 players or the PC. They want very high quality results with simple installation and may not want to install a subwoofer. The GigaWorks T20 delivers, in a high-end two-piece system that combines quality and convenience. It’s a great choice for balanced listening and we believe that people will be amazed at the results they get.’

Incorporating GigaWorks engineering, the GigaWorks T20 features high-end dome tweeters and high-performance mid-range cone drivers for intimate, detailed highs and rich, immersive mid-tones, claims Creative. Each enclosure also incorporates Creative’s BasXPort technology, which should enhance the bass response without the need for a subwoofer.

The clean design of the magnetically-shielded satellites makes them tasty for use alongside MP3 players and PCs as well as keyboards or synthesisers. The design includes good connectivity as well as controls for power, bass and treble, and a headphone port for private listening. Technical details include 14-Watts (RMS) per channel and a frequency response of 50Hz to 20kHz.

There’s no word yet on pricing, but details are available on Creative’s Web site.
