Hercules MP3 Mixing Deck

The DJ Control MP3 from Hercules brings the fun of DJ mixing to music fans everywhere. Wicked!

Offering an intuitive, fast yet user-friendly DJ mixing controller for PCs, the DJ Control MP3 (£79.99) allows you to create mixes in a flash, personalise music and host parties DJ-style by creating your own set lists from your MP3 collection. Party like it’s 1999 you vinyl juggling muppets!

Following the first DJ Console launched two years ago, Hercules’s still hasn’t learned its lesson DJ Control MP3 allows you to experience the real tactile sensations of DJing, should you be getting withdrawal symptoms thanks to today’s techno-wizzardry. With two jog wheels emulating two vinyl turntables, a cross fader slider and two volume sliders, eight EQ and pitch knobs and 28 action buttons, the DJ Control MP3 is pretty special.

With two stereo inputs to connect two vinyl turntables or CD players and two stereo outputs allowing you to play your mix over amplified speakers or redirect the sound to an effects processor or external mixer, the Hercules DJ Console Mk2 can be used on its own or function as an interface between a computer and a DJ’s other analogue instruments.

The DJ Console Mk2 also includes some of the same functions of the first DJ Console: a double mixing deck to control DJ mixes, a sound card dedicated to DJing, a microphone input with a ‘talk-over’ function and a headphone output for previewing songs. It is still portable to accompany a DJ anywhere: compact, it connects to a PC’s USB port, is powered by the USB port, and includes a shoulder strap and a detachable cover for transportation.

In conjunction with its software, the DJ Console Mk2 gives a precise BPM counter, as well as effects to transform, filter and loop audio files, allowing DJs to give their mixes personality.
