Piano Black Ultra-Portable Dual Core Laptop

With its Colourline laptops, Averatec is one of the first suppliers to put colour into the grey world of consumer laptops. The new Averatec Blackline looks great with its classic ‘piano black’ cover, silver interior and black keyboard.

But it is also decent inside with 1GB system memory, 80GB hard disk drive, Intel Core Duo Processor, ultra-bright AveraBrite display, Wireless LAN and a complete software package including Star Office, backup solution and desktop search. The new Averatec 4360 is available now £949.

The Averatec 4360 is powered by a 1.66GHz Intel Core Duo-Processor. With dimensions of just 316x224x32mm, the 4360 is scarcely bigger than a standard A4 pad and should fit into any briefcase. The machine is also solidly built and the high quality of engineering should be obvious as soon as you pick it up. With the standard battery its weight is only 2kg and it gives up to 3 hours running time, according to the company.

Averatec remains true to its original pledge to provide excellent price/performance and ‘Business Features for the Consumer at a fair price’. Along with the premium design and full technical set-up, the notebook also has a complete software package.

The Averatec Notebook Suite includes Star Office, the back up solution Paragon Exact Image, Norton Internet Security as well as Marco Polo Euro Route GPS Edition. In addition there is Svizzer Professional, a desktop search program for the business class, which helps relocate hidden data in complex data trees, using just a few mouse clicks.

As well as a Wireless LAN, which is fitted as standard, the 4360 is also compatible with all standard interfaces: FireWire, S-Video, VGA-Port, audio and microphone input and output, as well as fax/modem and Gigabit LAN. There are three high-speed USB 2.0 ports and one is set aside as an active USB port.

With this, external appliances such as a mobile phone or MP3 player can be added at any time, even when the laptop is charging. The 4:1 memory card reader supports MMC, SD Card, Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro. To complete the set-up there is a PC Card slot as well as a dual-layer DVD drive.

Averatec offers a 2-year pick up and return guarantee.
