Adesso CyberTablet wireless graphics tablets

US-based Adesso has announced its foray into drawing tablets. The CyberTablets are relatively low-cost tablets that are available in three different sizes: the entry-level CyberTablet 6400 ($69) offers a 6x4.5in. workspace, the CyberTablet 8600 ($129) has 8x6in. of space, and the high-end CyberTablet 12000 ($169) provides a 12x9in. surface. Like any other graphics tablet, you use the supplied pressure-sensitive pen on the tablet and naturally draw and write freehand graphics and text as if you would on regular paper. Each of the new tablets offer a resolution of 3048 lines-per-inch (lpi), 512 points of pressure gradation, 0.42mm pen accuracy, and a 0.32in. reading height. Each tablet ships with a wireless pen and a wireless mouse (RF) with scroll wheel for right and left-handed users. The tablets don't offer anything new in terms of technology, but this nicely priced lineup should suit those looking for a way to create freehand graphics.

Pros: Powered by USB 2.0 port; cordless pen and mouse
Cons: Don't break through any tech barriers
