Tiscali is getting competitive. Very competitive. The Internet and broadband company has launched a 1MB unlimited broadband package for £14.99 (inc. VAT) and 2MB unlimited broadband for £17.99 (inc. VAT). Similar-priced packages from other companies tend to be capped, which is pathetic in today's computing environments.
The new product offers mean Tiscali 1MB is £10 a month less than AOL and its 2MB is £8 less than Wanadoo, £10 less than BT Yahoo and £12 less than AOL. Steve Horley, managing director of products and marketing at Tiscali UK says: 'Our aim is always to offer the most competitive product choice in the market, and we like to make life a simple as possible for our customer, so a choice of two unlimited packages makes sense.'
The new packages are promoted alongside attractive Tiscali broadband PLUS telephone bundles including 1MB and Anytime calls for £19.99 (inc. VAT) and 2MB and Anytime calls for £21.99 (inc. VAT). Tiscali Smart Talk Anytime offers unlimited calls from your home phone to other UK Landlines (£7.99 a month if purchased separately). Consumers can save £138 a year versus the closest comparable BT Yahoo 2MB bundle. The new product offers can be found at www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband.
Tiscali UK forms part of Tiscali SpA., headquartered in Cagliari, Italy. The UK company was launched in July, 2001 following the acquisitions of Liberty Surf, World Online and LineOne. Tiscali UK also acquired Tiny and Gateway ISPs. Tiscali UK is positioned within the UK market as the fourth largest ISP.
