Technology is the work of many men or woman. Passion is strictly personal. Why not refine your view of the digital world with one of Acer's brilliant new Ferrari-branded LCD monitors.
Designed to be a winner in terms of advanced technology and hi-tech design, the sleek bezel of the F-19 (19-inch LCD) and F-20 (20-inch widescreen model) are pioneered from the Ferrari concept of ergonomics and elegance. They also match Acer's Ferrari-branded laptops perfectly. Both the models are limited editions and only 1000 of each will be sold.
The monitors embody a highly desirable design created from the polished acrylic bezel and smooth curves which are embraced with a distinct but discrete Ferrari styling. Rapid response times of 8ms along with CrystalBrite technology should provide ultra-bright and crisp images ideal for viewing in the comfort of your home or private work area.
The F-19 (£314 inc. VAT) has a native resolution of 1280x1024 (SXGA) pixels, 500:1 contrast ratio and includes 2-Watt stereo speakers. It measures 456x191x459mm and weighs 7.1kg. The F-20 (£435 ex. VAT) has a native resolution of 1680x1050 (WSXGA+) pixels, contrast ratio of 800:1, and 5-Watt speakers. The F-20 measures 510x207x444mm and weighs 6.9kg.
Connectivity options on both screens are medicore thanks to the integrated digital (DVI), S-Video (AV) and SCART, but there is no TV tuner built-in or component video inputs. User controls include an On/Off button, Enter key, OSD keys, brightness, contrast, H-position, V-position, H-size, phase, colour select (R, G, B, 9300K/6550K/user), auto adjustment, language, OSD position, exit, reset, safety protection, and audio volume controls.
'After almost three years of partnership, and successful and innovative laptops such as the Ferrari 3200 and 3400,' says Gianfranco Lanci, President of Acer as of January 2005, 'Acer has designed truly exclusive LCD monitors that expresses our firm intention to stay at the forefront of innovation, an ambition that has always characterised both the worlds of Formula One and information technology.'
'Technology is essential to achieve objectives,' said Jean Todt, General Manager of Scuderia Ferrari. 'We believe that innovation leads to constant evolution, and we are delighted that one of our official suppliers places such importance on the research and development of advanced technological solutions.'
