ECS Stylish Home Media Server

Designed to make the smart home smarter, ECS’s media server allows seamless ‘anywhere’ viewing of digital media.

The Our Room PC (ORPC) combines a PC, DVD player, DVD recorder, personal video recorder, digital photo frame, high-end stereo, game console and more, into a single consumer electronics appliance.

This server is a relatively powerful entertainment centre that puts you in total control of music, photos, television, games, the Internet and much more, delivering digital enjoyment to every room.

Powered by an Intel Pentium 4 processor with Hyper-Threading technology, the media server should speed through CPU-intensive operations quickly, delivering high speed and great performance. The SATA hard disk drive increases bus speed from 100- to 150MB/s for swift access and movement of multimedia files. The server also comes with a choice of high speed 802.11a/b/g wireless LANs.

The Our Room PC is an attractive consumer electronics device that operates at a low noise level and shouldn’t interfere with the peaceful ambience of a room. A compact and attractive, yet unobtrusive design encases the hi-tech interior and complements any room in the modern smart home. A fully-featured remote control enhances the Microsoft Media Center Edition Experience.

The Our Room PC’s high definition video capabilities are complemented by high definition 24-bit and 192KHz audio support with multi-streaming capability supporting multiple industry formats including Intel Audio Studio for Media Center, Sonic Focus as well as Dolby Pro Logic II, Pro Logic IIx and Dolby Headphone technologies that extend Dolby quality to PC audio allowing you to reproduce the most exciting visual as well as aural experience of the cinema.

The ORPC is scheduled for release in selected markets at the end of March 2006. Pricing has yet to be announced.
