The new Sweex USB Speaker Set enables you to simply insert the USB plug into a free USB port of your computer. A wall outlet or a soundcard are no longer needed! A USB speaker is a speaker that relies on one connection (USB connection from your PC) to provide both audio and power to the listener. Streaming audio is sent via the USB interface and power is provided through the USB connection.

The Core Subsystems include a USB DAC which
communicates with a PC it is connected to and converts the streaming audio into analogue format for amplification and driving the speaker, and audio power amplifier to drive the speaker. Finally, an amplifier monitor (SVS) is used In order to prevent the amplifier from trying to source more power, and a monitoring/feedback circuit is implemented to reduce the output power from the audio amplifier.
