3M 15-inch LCD Touchscreen Monitor

Touchscreens are becoming increasingly popular in the kiosk, self-service and industrial markets as they provide the critical interface necessary for the most demanding environments. 3M’s latest kiosk chassis monitor focuses on integration flexibility, optimised optics and display performance.

The new MicroTouch CT150 15-inch LCD touchscreen monitor specifically engineered to address evolving design trends in the European kiosk, self-service and industrial markets. Its unique feature set offers designers heightened levels of flexibility, usability, ease of configuration and increased overall performance, claims the company.

Key attributes of the MicroTouch CT150 include a 500:1 contrast ratio LCD display module that can be print-colour matched, making it an ideal choice for photo-kiosk applications. It also comes with three bezel options, an array of designer-flexible mounting methods, a remote control on-screen-display adjustment module and internal power cable, eliminating the need for power adapters inside enclosed solutions.

One of the highlights of the CT150 is its integrated MicroTouch ClearTek II capacitive touchscreen technology enabling fast and accurate touch performance, physical durability, excellent light transmission, advanced anti-glare properties and high reliability. Designers also benefit from the screen’s outstanding durability and resistance to dirt, liquid spills and abrasion no matter how many times the surface is touched.

The CT150 monitor has a complete, rigid steel enclosure allowing VESA mounting as a stand-alone display for industrial applications. It also conforms to FCC class B and CE certifications, and UL/cUL standards, which can be helpful in accelerating the UL certification process for kiosk solutions. All monitor components fully comply with the European Union Restriction of Hazardous Substances Directive (RoHS).

Available throughout Europe from 1 May 2006, the CT150 is the latest addition to 3M’s portfolio of monitor products which include the 17-inch Chassis Touch monitor and the 15-inch M150 and 17-inch M170 desktop touchscreen monitors. The product comes with a 3-year display warranty and a full 5-year warranty on the touchscreen.
