DFI has launched the LANParty UT CFX3200-DR, the companys first motherboard offering two true x16 PCI-e slots. This new architecture allows for faster data transfer at higher bandwidth, meaning you should see significant increase in graphics performance.
The LANParty UT CFX3200-DR utilises ATIs CrossFire Xpress 3200 chipset to offer the power of multiple graphics processing units (GPUs) combined in a single system. Hence, you can easily boost your systems performance by utilising the CrossFire mode via a second graphics card.
Furthermore, the DFI LANParty UT CFX3200-DR underwent stringent tests on the CrossFire platform and met the highest standard of compatibility to proudly be an ATI-certified product, claims the company. Regardless of which series of ATI graphic cards you have, you can incorporate the DFI LANParty UT CFX3200-DR motherboard with your current ATI graphic cards to either enhance or upgrade your system.
In addition, the DFI LANParty UT CFX3200-DR uses the ULi M1575 chipset for its Southbridge, providing you with SATA-II support. As always, each new DFI model is equipped with innovative DFI technology to deliver enhanced performance. The LANParty UT CFX3200-DR is the first DFI motherboard featuring dual Gigabit Ethernet LAN with teaming.
DFIs LANParty UT CFX3200-DR networking adapter improves network uptime by protecting the network in the event of a network failure. This protection prevents you from losing connectivity. This network adapter teaming also offers better network throughput by distributing traffic efficiently across these ports.
A team consists of two ports that function as though they were a single NIC. This virtual NIC appears to the system as a single physical address and a single IP address. Should one NIC in this team fail, the remaining NICs assume the failed NICs traffic, providing resiliency.
This fault tolerance is provided by all the configurations of teams available. When teamed, each NIC can also share the network traffic load, increasing the network throughput. Each type of team provides varying levels of traffic management, (called load balancing), and all teams provide fault tolerance.
Another first-of-DFI technology that is incorporated in the LANParty UT CFX3200-DR is RLMT (Redundant Link Management Technology). Dual Link Ethernet Controllers provide two ports. Part of each driver is the Marvell Redundant Link Management Technology (RLMT), which monitors the status of the ports. If the link of the active port fails, RLMT switches immediately to the standby link. With RLMT, users can have an added piece-of-mind when overclocking and gaming with the DFI LANParty UT CFX3200-DR motherboard.
Most overclockers and enthusiasts suffer fatal crash when they overclock the system beyond the limit. Normally, the solution is to manually clear the CMOS by opening the chassis to access the Clear CMOS jumper. With EZ Clear, one of DFIs first-of technologies, it allows you to bypass the manual process by simply pressing the reset and power buttons at the same time. This will restore the clock settings back to their default values. OC becomes faster and easier.
