HP Unleashes Raft Of New Printers

HP has today announced a range of new colour and monochrome LaserJet and Officejet printers which are designed to meet the growing demand for affordable and reliable printing solutions.

Product highlights include the monochrome LaserJet 1018 (£79.99), Officejet 4315 All-in-One (£84.99), Officejet 4355 All-in-One (£99.99), and Officejet 6310 All-in-One (£169).

Colour also makes a difference, and HP offers new Color LaserJet printers for creating marketing collateral with high quality colour. The combination of HP Color LaserJet printers with HP supplies and HP ColorSphere Toner apparently results in marketing materials that can make small companies look like larger ones, claims the company.

New models include the Color LaserJet 2605 printer series (from £259), which are designed for small work teams and home office users, offering them a printer that easily and cost-effectively adds brilliant colour to business documents with HP ColorSphere Toner.

Compared to its predecessor (HP Color LaserJet 2550 Printer series), the new printer series offers faster printing speeds of up to 12ppm in colour (versus 4ppm with the 2550 Printer series), automatic two-sided printing and supports HP PCL6 and HP Postscript Level 3 Emulation.

The Color LaserJet 1600 (£199) is HP’s lowest-priced colour laser printer. With fast printing speeds of up to 8ppm it should be ideal for the home office and has the performance and reliability to meet the needs of small office users who want to add colour to business documents.

Additionally, HP announced today a variety of other products that deliver excellent price and performance for businesses, including the LaserJet 5200 (1149) series - a wide-format A3+ network-ready printer with automatic two-sided printing for businesses and public sector organisations with small to medium-sized work teams. The printer is ideal for printing oversized documents such as engineering designs, CAD/CAM drawings and marketing collateral proofs.

HP’s Jetdirect 510x External Print Server (£275) is designed for medium-sized businesses and enterprises, the print server offers internet connectivity capability through one reliable and fast network connection. It connects up to three printers with a parallel port to the network.
