Konica Minolta Ships Magicolor 2500 Series

Konica Minolta Printing Solutions UK Ltd introduces its new magicolor 2500 range of colour laser printers, the 2500W, the 2530DL and the 2550.

Designed for the office professional or small workgroups, the range brings even greater versatility, ease of use and quiet operation without increasing the compact dimensions Konica Minolta users have come to expect.

"Building on the legacy of the award-winning magicolor 2400 series, the new personal and workgroup A4 range provides all the benefits of colour laser technology - speed, high performance and professional quality output - in a compact and reliable machine. The magicolor 2500 series produces very low acoustic noise and offers additional features that enable users to produce commercial material in-house, from posters to brochures." said Oscar Rook, Marketing Director at Konica Minolta Printing Solutions.

The magicolor 2500 series printers are perfectly designed for the desktop, providing both convenience and privacy. Front access to long lasting, pre-installed consumables allow for infrequent maintenance. A status display screen and device-embedded web page give a complete overview of important printer information - for example, consumable and print job status - directly from your PC. The PageScope administration tools provide an easy way to manage and configure your printer environment.

Professional quality material in stunning colour With 5 pages per minute in colour and 20 ppm in monochrome, the magicolor 2500 series delivers high quality prints at top speed. Thanks to support for heavyweight media up to 200 g/m2, businesses can print a wide range of professional documents and marketing materials including mailshots, brochures and presentations. This allows users to print material on-demand, and make large savings by printing professional quality material in-house.

Due to the pioneering technology of Simitri(tm) polymerised toner combined with brilliant resolution, the magicolor 2500 series provides ultra sharp printouts with the finest of gradients, even when printing on textured papers. This specially formulated toner yields vibrant prints with crisp text and images. Enhanced Automatic Image Density Control (eAIDC) automatically calibrates the printer for consistent, accurate colour from the first page to the last, whilst built in ICC based colour matching provides automatic controls for precise colour correction of print files.

Due to its space saving features and very low noise, the magicolor 2500 series is truly designed to sit comfortably and unobtrusively on any desk without disruption.

The magicolor 2550 encompasses all of the key elements that are important to both business and graphics users: speed, quality and reliability. It utilises 600 x 600 dpi x 4-bit Photo ART(tm) contone technology to deliver razor sharp prints in stunning colour. Through the power of the renowned Emperon(tm) controller, the magicolor 2550 prints from virtually any application or operating system in a networked environment. Its 300MHz page processor and standard 128MB RAM (expandable up to 640MB) enables it to speed through heavy print jobs in no time.

The printer includes various options including a duplexer unit for automatic double-sided printing, and lower feeder tray to increase paper input capacity up to 700 sheets. PowerPack is also included with the magicolor 2550: customers can benefit from up to three years warranty, a guaranteed trade-in value on a replacement printer after three years, discounts on bundled options, and free training and software. The magicolor 2550 is expected to sell for about £399.99.

Ideal for small workgroups, the magicolor 2530DL brings high performance printing with added versatility. It comes with a standard network interface, so small workgroups with multiple operating systems will benefit from the option to print from a broad range of applications and operating environments including Windows, Mac and Linux.

High processing power and 64MB standard memory (expandable up to 576MB) makes it easy for the magicolor 2530DL to handle even the most complex print jobs. Thanks to its 2400 x 600 dpi resolution, it produces ultra sharp prints with gradients in vivid colour. Its PictBridge interface enables users to edit and print photos directly from their camera. The magicolor 2530DL is expected to sell for about £179.99.

The ultimate personal colour printer for professional users, the magicolor 2500W is compatible with the Windows operating system. It comes equipped with a high speed USB 2.0 interface and 32 MB of memory. Thanks to its revolutionary colour engine technology and host based processing, printouts are available in an instant - with a first page out in 14 seconds in mono and 23 seconds in colour. The likely street price of the magicolor 2500W is about £159.99.

The magicolor 2500 series is available now and carries a one-year on-site warranty. It ships with a full set of supplies, including cyan, magenta, yellow and black toner cartridges and drum cartridge.
