Plustek's 70 Pages-Per-Minute ADF Scanner

Plustek, a manufacturer of consumer, prosumer and professional imaging devices, has launched the PL7000 Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) scanner - a new member of Plustek’s Smart Office series.

Pitched at SOHOs and busy offices including hospitals, law firms, banks and other financial institutions, the new Plustek ADF scanner provides high-speed and efficient scanning at a cost of £1400 (inc. VAT).

The PL7000 is a versatile, ADF scanner for personal and business users looking to increase efficiency. Equipped with a built-in automatic document feeder that holds up to 80 pages at a time, the PL7000 provides a maximum scanning speed of 70 pages-per-minute, an optical resolution of up to 600ppi and also features USB 2.0 compatibility for easy plug and play.

Powerful Readiris Corporate Edition Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software is bundled with the product, providing highly accurate results from text documents, supporting up to 116 languages. The scanner and software make even lengthy documents quickly available electronically.

Fully automated buttons on the front panel make the PL7000 simple and efficient to use and can scan a large quantity of documents, file them and save in the preferred format and dpi at the touch of a button.

Additional PL700 features include an advanced design and build to gain better image focus and minimise paper jams, durable ADF pad and feed module for a longer life cycle, and a paper tray which accommodates wider paper up to 24.5cm.

The scanner can also supports batch OCR handling (result can be saved individually or in one single file), scan to searchable PDF, and offers advanced settings for OCR results for Microsoft’s Office. DI capture allows for importing and organising document images.

The PL7000 scanner is available now from Practical Imaging. Information on Plustek products can be found at www.plustek.com.
