Today NEC introduced the new VT90 series of projectors.
Seven models feature in the range - VT49, VT490, VT59, VT59BE, VT590, VT595, VT695 - and promise industry leading performance at affordable price points.
Present in each model are a number of new benefits which have been introduced with the education, corporate and consumer client in mind.
Weighing in at around 2.9kg, these models offer flexibility as either an installation or portable product. Based on 3LCD technology this range also offers bright, high fidelity images even in daylight and are also covered by NECs new de-install/re-install warranty service. Each model features a number of benefits designed to meet the varying demands of the customer.
Building on the success of the VT58BE in the education market additional security features have been introduced to the VT59BE. In addition to the orange-coloured cabinet and security sticker a new Password Lock feature ensures a thief cannot use the projector without the user password set by the school.
The VT595 and VT695 demonstrate the adaptability of this VT90 series. Positioned at the top end of the range these models feature auto keystone and wall colour correction ensuring ease of set up. Each supports two remote sensors allowing the user to control the presenter from the front or rear of the room making it ideal for the corporate and educational client. For the home cinema enthusiast these features too, combined with the DVI I input with HDCP compatibility make it ideal for the consumer market.
The VT49, VT490, VT59 and VT590 encapsulate the concept behind the VT90 range - solid design and good value without compromising on spec. All are able to display PC graphics to UXGA and accept high definition content via component giving these entry level products an edge. Beyond basic, these models can support the demands of the education and corporate markets.
The VT90 series demonstrates our ability to consistently deliver products that benefit our customer whether large or small, with low or high needs, explains Simeon Joseph, Product Manager for NEC UKs Business Technology Division. In the VT59BE, weve identified a specific market need - better security in education - and responded. The success of the VT range is based on the adaptability of the product to the demands of its environment.
