Northgate HR wins top training award from the Institute of IT Training

Northgate HR Training Services has been awarded gold standard accreditation by the Institute of IT Training (IITT), making it one of the first ten training companies to achieve this standard and the only HR software provider to hold the award.

The Training Services division of Northgate HR offers standard & customised training on all Northgate HR products, covering the full range of HR and Payroll, client-server and intranet solutions, plus the special products developed for the healthcare and public sectors, graduate recruitment and the legal profession.

In order to achieve the gold accreditation, courses are constantly monitored, both internally and externally, to maintain their consistency and the training team undergo continuous professional development, to make sure they stay abreast of the day-to-day issues faced by their clients.

Sarah Walker, head of Training Services for Northgate HR says: "Our customers are always reassured by the IITT accreditation. It means they can be confident their delegates will receive a consistently high standard of learning. Continuous development has always been key to us. We learn from every course - from the issues raised, and delegates' feedback - and translate that learning into new course content."

Enid Grant, head of payroll at Northgate HR customer Leicester City Council says: "The training we received from Northgate to help us implement ResourceLink has been excellent. Both trainers and training materials have been first rate and have certainly contributed to making our implementation a success."

Vic Wiseman of the IITT says "I am pleased to recognise and support the excellent work the Northgate HR Training Services team has undertaken to bring together the three parts of the training operation into one consistent, professional, quality-minded unit."

About the Institute of IT Training

Formed in November 1995, the Institute of IT Training (IITT) provides a professional membership structure for all individuals involved in IT Training. Other key services include publishing standards that encompass all aspects of IT training, development and delivery and a comprehensive accreditation programme for any training service organisation.

Within the IT training industry, the IITT is driving standards through its competency frameworks and by encouraging world-leading qualifications such as TAP and CeLP. The Institute works with other organisations and professional bodies - first, to ensure its standards are as widely accepted as possible, and secondly to recognise other qualifications and experience and accept these against defined competency frameworks as evidence towards its own professional membership.

The IITT's philosophy is that the qualifications for admission to individual membership bands should realistically reflect job roles in the workplace.
Therefore, qualification is achieved by proving competence in clearly defined training skills areas, along with technical expertise in the candidate's area of activity.

The Institute provides a comprehensive range of benefits and exclusive support services for its membership. It also organises a range of awards - presented annually in February - to encourage and celebrate excellence within the IT training world.
