This international standard specifies stringent prescriptive requirements for an information management system which fully protects customer data. This certification adds to Cobweb’s status as a Microsoft Gold Certified partner and its existing ISO9001 accreditation.

The 133 processes and procedures of ISO27001:2005 cover all aspects of an organisation and are aimed at ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and availability of customer data. Cobweb Solutions achieved certification on its first attempt after a process that took 18 months to complete. The assessment covered all aspects of the business, and involves being audited twice a year.

As defined by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO), ISO27001:2005 specifies the requirements for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving a documented Information Security Management System. It specifies requirements for the implementation of security controls customised to the needs of individual organisations and provides a solid framework which allows organisations to closely manage business risk.
