EUROPEAN CEOs VOTE DELL AS THE TOP BRAND FOR DESKTOP PCS

Frost & Sullivan, the global growth consulting company, has awarded Dell with its 2005 CEO Choice Award of the Year for the Most Reliable Desktop Manufacturer. CEOs and company presidents across Europe voted for this award*1.

Katerina Konstantinou, Research Executive at Frost & Sullivan, said, “Dell has shown itself to be a market leader when it comes to providing products that meet the needs of its customers. This award recognises the high esteem within which Dell is held by CEOs and company presidents across Europe.”

As well as receiving the 2005 CEO Choice Award for Most Reliable Desktop Manufacturer, Dell also gained the highest score in the following award categories for desktop computers - Most Reliable, Best Value for Money, Best Overall Quality and Most Pre-loaded Software Applications.

Jeff Kimbell, Director of Business Marketing, Dell EMEA said, “Dell’s climb to market leadership is the result of persistent focus on delivering the best possible customer experience by directly selling standards-based computing products and services and this award is in recognition of that. Our direct contact with customers allows us to respond to customer requirements quickly and easily, all while providing products and services at best-value.”

Dell™ works hard to meet the needs of each customer with carefully tailored, standards-based computing solutions. Communicating directly with customers helps Dell deliver better results, instantly. For example, the Customer Factory Integration (CFI) service helps customers reduce deployment costs by customising systems and eliminating installation worries. It minimises the burden on internal support resources by customising images, software or peripherals in the factory.

Dell also offers a service called Premier Pages™, a tool created for customers to more efficiently manage all phases of computer ownership: purchasing, management and product support. Dell Premier Pages is a personalised website for customers and includes a customised online computer store where they can configure systems and view pre-negotiated contract prices. All the information is in one place, and available 24/7, helping customers to take control, save time and manage more efficiently.
