Winternals Software, a leading provider of systems recovery and protection solutions for the Microsoft enterprise, today announced that Listawood Holdings Limited has purchased Winternals Defrag Manager®. Listawood licensed the Winternals solution for use on its mixed environment of Microsoft Windows NT, 2000 and Server 2003 desktops, servers and laptops to maintain optimum performance without increasing support overheads.

Defrag Manager will be deployed to more than 100 Windows servers and clients at Listawood headquarters’ in Fakenham, Norfolk as well as several European satellite offices that are remotely serviced by the centralised IT support team.

"Disk fragmentation and the associated performance loss has always been a bit of a problem but when we were a smaller company it was no major headache to manually run a defrag program on a few servers and desktop.” Explained Jason McClean, IT Manager for Listawood Holdings, “But over the last few years, we have grown rapidly, and now have over a hundred PC users and a dozen servers on a variety of Microsoft platforms and it was becoming a time consuming and impractical task to manually optimise each system.”
