MDEA is an awards programme in the global life sciences sector for the recognition of the engineers, scientists and designers behind innovations that substantially improve the health and medical services. Teleca is being honoured for its role in developing the Axis-Shields Afinion AS100 Point-of-Care Analyser System.

The instrument has an easy-to-understand user interface, provides fast test results and is small enough to stand unobtrusively on a doctors desk.
