PASSLOGIX ANNOUNCES v-GO CREDENTIAL MANAGER FOR EASY MANAGEMENT OF STRONG AUTHENTICATION SOLUTIONS

Passlogix, Inc. is extending its ability to simplify secure user access to enterprise applications with the upcoming release of v-GO Credential Manager (v-GO CM), a solution for issuing, managing and revoking strong authentication devices such as smart cards, tokens, biometrics and proximity cards. This add-on to Passlogix's market-leading v-GO Sign-On Platform will be the first credential management system that supports devices and readers from all leading vendors, freeing administrators to select, mix and migrate to the devices of their choice without being locked into proprietary systems.

v-GO CM will advance Passlogix's three-step strategy for helping enterprises eliminate non-secure and overhead-intensive application passwords. Passlogix has sold over 2.4 million licenses by replacing user-managed passwords with a robust enterprise single sign-on (ESSO) solution for fast and secure application access, integrating with identity provisioning systems so that users never know or touch their credentials, and enabling customers to add strong authentication to improve identity verification at sign-on.

"With over 20 per cent of our customers using some form of strong authentication, and most other customers and prospects planning rollouts in the next two years, we have experienced the challenges of implementing and maintaining strong authentication. Our solution is designed to address those challenges and make it simpler to enable strong authentication and improve overall security," said Stephane Fymat, Passlogix vice president of product management and sales operations. "Our new v-GO CM product helps simplify the process while also supporting the broader security and compliance efforts behind customers' strong authentication initiatives."

Key features of v-GO CM will include:

· Open support for multiple vendors' devices and readers, providing flexibility in initial equipment selection as well as making it possible to use different devices for different user groups and switch equipment at any time without the need to change credential management systems.

· The ability to integrate both physical and logical access credentials, from garage gate and front door to VPN, network and application sign-on. This will give both users and administrators a uniform experience, while also equipping administrators with full control from credential issuance to termination.

· Rapid configuration and setup, in part through auto-identification of the existing network infrastructure that eliminates the need for expensive consultants. End users can also enroll, reset and otherwise manage their credentials through a self-service portal.

· Integration with the v-GO Sign-On Platform, enabling efficiencies such as one-stop administration of ESSO and strong credential application access from a single v-GO console or the customer's identity management system; consolidation of access, identity and credential data in a common repository; and a unified end user interface for all user functions.

· Compliance support for government initiatives such as Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12), the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX).

Passlogix is also introducing new services designed to expedite the implementation of two-factor authentication programs. The company will now supply strong authentication devices, readers and associated back-end technical work, enabling enterprises to obtain all necessary hardware, software and services from a single vendor.

"Credential management is an essential component of any strong authentication program, and v-GO CM offers some solid advantages with its open platform in particular," said Kenneth Tyminski, retired CISO for Prudential Financial. "The freedom to choose or change to any device will provide initial flexibility as well as preserve the organisation's investment in their credential management system, while also supporting the core mission of increasing corporate security."

v-GO CM Availability
v-GO Credential Manager will be available from Passlogix in early Q3 2006. The first release will provide credential management for smart cards, with support for tokens, biometrics and proximity cards to be added in future releases. The application can be deployed on a standalone basis or in conjunction with the v-GO Sign-on Platform.

Other components of Passlogix's v-GO Sign-On Platform include v-GO SSO (Single Sign-on), a robust solution for replacing multiple application passwords with automatically generated hacker-proof credentials to strengthen security practices and simplify the end user experience; v-GO Self Service Password Reset (v-GO SSPR) for recovering a Windows password, v-GO Session Manager (v-GO SM) for shared workstations and kiosks, v-GO Authentication Manager (v-GO AM) to enable universal sign-on for strong authenticators, and v-GO Provisioning Manager (v-GO PM) for interoperability with all major provisioning systems.
