Tiscali Cuts Broadband Costs, 2MB For £17.99

Tiscali, one of the UK's leading Internet companies, today cut the cost of broadband for home users by offering 2MB Broadband for £17.99 (inc. VAT) per month - with a 15GB monthly usage limit.

The announcement makes Tiscali's offer one of the fastest and cheapest in the market - £5 per month cheaper than BT's nearest offer (£22.99 inc. VAT, per month) and also more competitive than AOL which is currently offering 512Kbit/s for £17.99 (inc. VAT). The new offer starts today and will continue until the 31 July.

BT last week made 2MB broadband standard for all customers - at no extra cost. Indeed, the company even dropped its monthly subscription prices by £2. The move means BT's entire family of retail consumer and business broadband products will now come with 2MB as standard. Unlike some upgrades, BT's existing customers will be upgraded automatically and free of charge.
