RapidSolution RadioTracker = Lots Of Free Music

RadioTracker is a unique piece of software that allows music lovers to download tracks from Internet radio stations both legally and for free. Designed to be the 'perfect way' for individuals to build extensive playlists, you can choose over 8000 radio stations and 77 genres of music as well as record at the same volume, cut out jingles and fade the tracks in and out to ensure high quality playback.

The topic of downloading music online has been the centre of much debate in recent times, but RadioTracker promises to make it simpler to build a large MP3 library. The software sits on your desktop and works in the background, compiling a collection of tracks from artists pre-determined according to genre. These tracks are then 'cut' from a choice of over 8000 Internet radio stations provided by the Shoutcast distribution network.

Having selected the genre of music that appeals from a choice of 77 (Pop, rock, jazz, classical), RadioTracker then records all the tracks from stations broadcasting that type of genre. All tracks are recorded at a uniform volume with filters to remove adverts and jingles from the recordings, as well as apply 'fading' between tracks. If a track is duplicated, RadioTracker will automatically select the better version.

RadioTracker records all tracks in MP3 format including the ID3 tags, which provide the track title, artist name and album, plus the CD covers. You can also listen to stations while recording. Other options include the ability to select the bit rate, limit the volume of data downloaded (MB) to match storage capacity, select the amount of time in hours to download, add to and delete favourite stations, and rip a station or remove a station from the server list.

Advanced functions include the ability to administer favourites, include and exclude artists or title and add a radio station by typing in the URL.
