Creative is continuing to drive the digital age with the launch of three new speaker sets. Designed to provide optimised solutions for your entertainment needs with a modern design, each of the three speaker sets promise high-quality audio for playing games, watching DVDs or listening to music on your PC.
The top-of-the-range model, the GigaWorks ProGamer G500 (£180 ex. VAT), is a 5.1 surround sound system designed to take your gaming to a new level of immersion. THX certification, 310-Watts RMS of power and flexibility in satellite positioning should ensure increased detail and impact.
The Inspire T3030 (£32.99 ex. VAT) is a basic 2.1 speaker system with small-footprint satellites to free up desktop space, while the Inspire T6060 (£49.99 ex. VAT) is a mid-range 5.1 surround sound system that can be set up with your PC or range of home audio systems, such as your TV or Hi-Fi.
Designed as a perfect partner for Creative's new Sound Blaster X-Fi sound cards, the GigaWorks ProGamer G500 combines a huge 8-inch, front-firing, long-throw driver for low-frequency performance and Twin Flared DynaPort technology for cleaner, bigger, and more evenly dispersed bass. The performance-tuned ProGaming satellites have 3-inch full-range drivers and Flared DynaPort technology for extended mid-to-high frequencies.
The speakers can also be positioned on speaker stands or wall-mounted for extra flexibility. The centre front speaker is configured horizontally, enabling it to be positioned under a display for optimum projection without interrupting the field of view. The subwoofer incorporates an auxiliary input for use with an MP3 or other music player. Other system features include Creative's CMSS function for up-mixing stereo inputs to 5.1, while the PowerTouch wired controller incorporates a headphone connector, mute, and independent level adjustment for the five satellites.
The Inspire T3030 is a 2.1 solution optimised for music listening, while the Inspire T6060 is a 5.1 solution optimised for games, surround-sound movies and music. The latter incorporates a 18-Watt centre speaker to enhance dialogue. Developed to deliver the best music and the best style at the price point, the satellites in each system feature a two-way design that uses a separate tweeter and mid-range driver to deliver 'hi-fi' results. The wood subwoofer has a rigid design that incorporates a 5.25-inch long-throw driver and contoured flared port.
A convenient wired remote gives easy access to power, bass and level control, with connectivity for headphones as well. The Inspire T3030 offers additional connectivity, with a stereo-to-RCA adapter for connection to home entertainment and music systems.
