Yahoo!’s new service allows you to take content from your personal computer or from the Web and extend it onto the biggest screen in your home.

Yahoo! Go TV integrates your Internet services, including video search and photos, into the television. The company expects to launch Yahoo! Go TV in the coming months.

Yahoo! will also look to make its music offerings available through this new service. Yahoo! Go TV also claims to improve your ability to navigate and find all the content available on your television.

For example, you can use your remote control to see what’s playing at your local cinema or share pictures from a recent holiday with friends, all on your television screen.

Key features currently planned for the new Yahoo! Go TV service include the ability to quickly search, find and view Internet videos using Yahoo!’s video search technology, view personalised photo slideshows on the television, access images saved on Yahoo! Photos or a local hard disk drive, and easily find and view friends' albums shared online.

You also have access to personalised information and services, can search for playtimes at local cinemas or watch movie trailers, find movies from the DVR, television or DVD player, and have access to full Personal Video Recorder (PVR) functionality, including trick play features and access to the PC for storage of content.
