ATI Radeon X1800 GTO

ATI Technologies has announced the newest family member of the Radeon X1800 series, the Radeon X1800 GTO.

Following the launch of the high-end Mobility Radeon X1800 XT last week, the Radeon X1800 GTO ($249) promises outstanding gaming performance that will dominate other graphics options in its price class.

With simultaneous support of High Dynamic Range (HDR) and anti-aliasing (AA)-functionality unique to ATI, the Radeon X1800 GTO is a value choice for those who want their games to look their best.

Featuring the same ultra-threaded shader architecture and new memory architecture of ATI’s Radeon X1800 XT and Radeon X1800 XL GPUs, the Radeon X1800 GTO rounds out the series at a value-to-performance ratio. In addition, ATI’s Avivo visual technology ensures the Radeon X1800 GTO delivers high definition video playback and image quality.

The Radeon X1800 GTO has 12 pixel shader processors, 256-bit GDDR3 memory interface and operates at 500MHz core. And 1000MHz memory speeds should ensurie it has the performance headroom to support the most visually intensive games and applications today and well into the future.

It will also ensure a decent experience with Microsoft’s next-generation operating system, Windows Vista, when it launches later this year.
