Gigabyte 7600GT Silent Pipe II

Gigabyte has today launched the GV-NX76T256D-RH graphics card. Based on nVidia’s 90nm Geforce 7600GT GPU, the GV-NX76T256D-RH introduces proprietary Gigabyte Silent-Pipe II technology.

New to the 7600GT, Silent-Pipe II technology results in fanless high-performance graphics cards that feature a proprietary front-flow thermal module and revolutionary design employing natural convection to keep the GPU cool.

Besides its impressive performance, quiet operation and outstanding cooling, the GV-NX76T256D-RH also fully supports SLI technology, Micro DirectX 9.0C, Shader Model 3,0 and OpenGL 2.0. With 128-bit memory bus and 256MB GDDR3 memory, the GV-NX76T256D-RH ensures high performance PC gaming and flawless digital media playback.

As the industry’s foremost heat pipe solution, Gigabyte Silent-Pipe II technology uses natural convection currents created case and power supply fans to draw cool air in over the GPU for unequalled fanless cooling.

During testing in the Gigabyte labs, Silent-Pipe II outperformed standard noisy fansink VGA coolers by allowing the GPU to run as much as 30 per cent cooler during normal activity. Even during heavy 3D rendering work loads, Silent-Pipe II continues to produce outstanding visual quality without unnecessary noise.

The GV-NX76T256D-RH is mercury and cadmium free (amongst others) for RoHS and EU regulatory compliance. The VGA card also fully supports Pure Video display enhancement technology, and eXtreme High definition technology that enables super video quality and improves HTPC visual affects. Moreover, the GV-NX76T256D-RH is bundled with Serious Sam 2 and has a retail value of approximately $70 (£40).
