Chapura has released a new version of its Palm software that now allows Tungsten T3 and Tungsten E users to synchronise with Outlook's Contacts, Calendar, Tasks, and Notes. The reason for the software is that unlike other PalmOne devices, the Tungsten T3 and E devices include customised personal information management (PIM) applications, which have been extended to include more fields than the PIM software in all other Palm-powered handhelds. Therefore, PocketMirror Professional XT is the first third-party software to synchronise these additional fields with Outlook. Unfortunately, the software still doesn't synchronise e-mail or allow you to view and create links to contacts from calendar, contacts, tasks and notes on your handheld. If you need this functionality, you'll have to opt for the company's slightly more expensive application, KeySuite (£32.52).

In addition to synchronising the additional fields, PocketMirror Professional XT offers: synchronisation of multiple folders from Outlook Contacts, Calendar, Tasks and Notes (including any combination of public folders and subfolders), so customers can carry personal and company information anywhere; option to change Outlook's default folders to any preferred folders; customers using Outlook with Business Contact Manager (BCM) can synchronise the Business Contacts folder in BCM with the built-in Contacts application on the handheld; simple, one-button synchronisation is quick and keeps information accurate and updated.
