DynaScan Cylindrical LED Display

The state-of-the-art DynaScan cylindrical displays, which range in size up to 2.5 metres high (5.46-metre circumference), are the world's only 360-degree LED displays.

With patented Spinning LED (light-emitting diode) technology, DynaScan screens offer high resolution, high brightness and contrast image quality ideal for advertising and branding, digital entertainment, and information broadcasting purposes.

The 360-degree screen can be networked and integrated with other media devices and is capable of displaying up to three different media sources simultaneously, perfect for delivering various messages and contents at a time for applications such as retail stores, shopping malls, trade shows, corporate lobbies, conferences, night clubs, car dealerships, public transportation, restaurants, special events, attractions, museums, and more.

Digital signage offers product and service providers a new medium for informing, educating and influencing, often closer in time and location to when a selection or purchasing decision will be made. Digital signage will gain an increasing share of the $149bn in advertising spending, comprised of TV $53bn, newspaper $46bn, radio $20bn, magazine $17bn, Internet $8bn, and outdoors $5bn, according to a report by Zenith Optimedia.

Ad rates for digital signage are attractive to advertisers, with CPM rates for digital signage in the $2-6 range versus newspaper at $20 and TV at $25, newspapers at $20, magazines at $9-20, outdoors at $8 and Internet at $10, according to DynaScan.

DynaScan products utilise proprietary technology, spinning LEDs, which employ surface-mount components that enable the products to have pixels as low as 0.5 mm, something previously unattainable with traditional LED screens. On the surface of the structure are a series of vertical bars, each containing several LEDs of a specific color (red, green, blue).

The system and software controls and synchronizes the speed of rotation. As the drum spins, the system illuminates each LED according to its position on the axis with an accuracy of 1/100th degree. This rotation speed combined with the persistence of human eyes, provides a stable and high-quality image to the viewers.

The screens can be installed upright or on the ceiling and claim low power requirements and easy installation. The screens also include a DynaScan integrated computer with mouse and keyboard, DynaScan DS-Player and Monitor System software for Windoes 2000 and Win XP, video and power cables, and User Manual. Each screen comes with a 1-year parts and labour warranty.
