Anyone who orders a 10.6-inch Averatec 1050 laptop direct from the Averatec online shop between now and the end of July will receive a £200 credit for their old laptop.
The laptop can be from any manufacturer but has to be sent to Averatec within seven days. Averatec will then refurbish it and donate it to a nursery school. With its Notebooks for Kids campaign, Averatec is ensuring that good use is made of old notebooks while at the same time offering its customers an attractive deal.
Most old laptops are consigned to oblivion as soon as a replacement is purchased but they could be put to good use, said Bengt Stahlschmidt, managing director of Averatec Europe GmbH. This is why we came up with Notebooks for Kids. Given that nurseries and schools often dont have enough PCs, our campaign will help to improve the situation.
The Notebooks for Kids campaign is linked to the purchase of the AV 1050, the cult object of the Averatec range with a 10.6-inch WXGA screen. The AV 1050 is small, easily carried, and comes with everything needed for professional mobile working. It has apparently become extremely popular with users who are constantly on the road and who require a small but fully featured machine.
