DestinyT Digital Pen & Paper Solution Improves Administration And Customer Satisfaction For Pestproof |
|
Destiny Wireless plc, the market leader in the sale and the delivery of Digital Pen and Paper (DP&P) technology, today announces that Pestproof, a pest control services company, is using its DP&P solution to improve productivity and deliver better value to its customers.
Pestproof has been providing pest control services to market leading businesses for over ten years. Its reputation is built on prompt response handling and professionalism, with its twenty technicians conducting on-site treatments on a daily basis. To enhance the quality of its service, Pestproof wanted a system that could electronically capture notes taken in the field and provide an instant report to its customers.
Steve Ivell, Managing Director of Pestproof explains: "We considered using PDAs, but chose Destiny Digital Pen & Paper because it doesn't disrupt the way that Pestproof works and requires minimal training. Customer satisfaction is very important to us and the use of DP&P on-site has greatly improved our administrative efficiency, resulting in our customers gaining from speedier problem resolution and real-time updates. It has also improved cash-flow as a result of quicker turnaround time between order and invoicing."
The DP&P technology captures valuable information in a form and transmits it via the technician's Bluetooth enabled mobile device to a central computer at Pestproof's offices. It is then immediately available in electronic form. The technology has enabled Pestproof to develop a system so that its customers can access live job information online and keep up-to-date at every stage of the process.
Edward Belgeonne, CEO of Destiny Wireless, comments: "In an industry where reputation is so important, delivering high quality customer service is essential. Our Digital Pen & Paper solution removes the time and administration costs associated with a manual process, without impacting on a company's existing working practices. For companies like Pestproof, they gain instant efficiencies which translates into better service for their customers."
How DP&P solutions work
When using digital pen and paper with Anoto functionality, a tiny camera in the pen registers the pen's movements across the grid surface on the paper and stores it as a series of map co-ordinates. When users make a mark in the SEND box with a digital pen, the pen is instructed to send a stored sequence of map co-ordinates - either as an image that can be displayed on any computer or mobile phone, received as a fax, or as an XML data file that can integrate directly with an organisation's back-office system.
