TerraTec Mystify SpeedPad

With all the technology available, it's amazing what difference a seemingly insignificant accessory such as a mouse pad can make to your computing experience. If, like some at BIOS, you're currently using a magazine, phone directory or DVD box to roll your mouse over, Terratec's Mystify SpeedPad should be at the top of your shopping list. The robust, solid plastic device has a textured surface that minimises frictional resistance and provides good feedback. Plus, the non-slip 'feet' on the underside help to keep the pad stationary on your desk. It's definitely worth a look if you're after a relatively low-cost mouse pad to help increase your mouse's precision.

Pros: Robust; washable; practical size; non-slip undersurface
Cons: Tad large; black only; far from chic

The Mystify SpeedPad is a robust, polymer board-based mouse pad that won't suffer from surface wear, dirt or frayed edges. Designed primarily for gamers, but will be appreciated by anyone who requires precise mouse movements - such as those working with graphics or images - the mouse pad offers a textured, easy-glide surface that really makes 'mousing' effortless with all common mouse types (including optical).

The textured surface of the pad minimises frictional resistance and, thanks to its practical size (240x300mm), helps you to take better control of your mouse. Nine non-slip 'feet' on the underside also help to stop the pad from moving on smooth worktops, such as company desks or glass tables. Plus, as it's made of solid plastic, it's completely washable - should the inevitable happen.
