Motorola has increased its product line with a range of new communication devices. One of the most interesting is the E1120, a 3G mobile phone which sports a 3-Megapixel (2048x1536 pixels) digital camera. The high-resolution camera isn't the only feature that makes this camera special, either: its lens is auto focusing, has an 8X digital zoom, and comes with a 30 lux lamp. Other key features include a 240x320-pixel screen, support for 2-way video conferencing, video capture and playback, MP3/WMA playback, built-in Bluetooth, an enhanced WAP 2.0 Web browser, 3D stereo audio with dual polyphonic speakers and spatial enhancement, and a TransFlash media slot capable of supporting up to 512MB of removable storage. The E1120 looks very tasty.
Pros: 3-Megapixel camera with auto focus and 8X zoom lens
Cons: Low-res screen; not available until end of year
Edited Release: Whether it's music, movies, video clips, games or photos that turn you on when making that decision to purchase a phone, you can be sure you will find a device that perfectly fits your needs, thanks to Motorola's (NYSE: MOT) new trio of 3G handsets.
Announced at 3GSM, the stylish and smooth Motorola E1120, the smart Motorola A1010 PDA handset, and the great value, feature packed Motorola E1060 include the ultimate in imaging and represent the true meaning of multimedia.
Bringing seamless mobility to life, the Motorola D1100 PC Card, joins the trio of handsets. As Motorola's first HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) mobile device the PC card brings broadband like speeds to the mobile internet at speeds so fast that the latest music album or important office documents can typically be downloaded in typically less than a minute.
'When it comes to 3G, people want to know that they have all of the features available even though they are likely to use some more than others,' said Greg Estell, Vice President and General Manager, Motorola Mobile Devices, Europe. 'With the new additions to our portfolio, we are delivering the broadest possible choice while allowing consumers to enjoy 3G experiences exactly tailored to their lifestyle.'
Motorola E1120: This sleek 'n' smooth candy bar is all about imaging. There has been no compromise when it comes to the E1120's video functionalities, with enhanced streaming capabilities, crystal clear playback and recording of more than 25 frames-per-second which can all viewed on the large, QVGA colour display. This powerful handset also includes 3D audio and dual polyphonic speakers for the best stereo sound possible.
Motorola A1010: This sexy PDA like device is a smartphone with a difference. With corporate grade functions such as VPN support, advanced PIM management, push e-mail, true Internet browsing and Instant Messaging - you have it all at your fingertips. With 48MB of internal memory, up to 512MB expandable through Transflash, and the ability to download and edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF documents, whilst at the same time making a conference call or browsing the latest news online - it is THE mobile convergence device of the future.
However, the A1010 is not all work and no play - a large, full colour, touch screen display, two-megapixel camera, advanced gaming and audio visual capabilities make it suitable both on and off the corporate playing field.
Motorola E1060: If you're a music fanatic this is the 3G phone for you. This feature rich handset includes video capture, download and playback. Dedicated Internet browser keys give fast access to high-speed web browsing and synching, so you can keep your play lists up to date.
