MSI USB DVB-T Tuner
 
It seems every company and its dog has jumped on the DVB-TV Tuner bandwagon. Next onboard is MSI, with the MEGA SKY 580.

The gizmo is a USB DVB-T (Digital Video Broad casting – Terrestrial) USB MINI receiver that allows you to receive, display, or record live digital TV.

It is fully compliant with DVB protocol and the high-speed USB 2.0 interface to lets you watch digital TV program even in High Definition (HD) resolution through a laptop or desktop PC.

The MEGA SKY 580 also doubles as a recorder, enabling you to save digital terrestrial TV or radio programme to your hard disk drive with real-time recording or scheduled recording. You can also listen to digital radio and receive digital Teletext.

Other features include Time-Shifting, Electronic Program Guide (EPG), support for still frame capture (BMP or JPEG), channel Auto Scan, and the ability to display video as a motion desktop background.

The device is Microsoft MCE compatible, comes with a remote control and antenna, and supports multiple languages including: English, French, Spanish, Germany, Italian, Dutch, and Finnish. More information can be found here.
