Feeling left out in the cold by the dual-core frenzy?
TECLAST of China has released a portable music/video player that features a dual core chip. The benefit of the dual-core chip is that the C150 media player takes out the DAC and amplifier chip out of the decoding chip.
TECLAST claims that by separating the two components, the sound quality will not be affected by the noises produced by the main decoding chip and improves the signal-to-noise ratio up to 100db.
The C150 supports MPEG-1 video playback and with the bundle software you can convert any video formats (including RM) to AMV files. It also sports a 65K-colour 1.5-inch LCD display, 512MB memory, eight equaliser modes, FM tuner, and line-in recording. It even has e-Book function which supports ASCII and Unicode Text files.
So not only will you be able to jam to dual core quality tunes, but youll also be able to watch some dual-core quality movies as well. The player is available in China now for around £45. Theres no word yet on worldwide availability.
