Samsung's First 22-Inch Widescreen Monitor

Samsung Electronics today announced the launch of its first high-resolution 22-inch widescreen LCD monitor (Syncmaster 225BW).

The new addition to Samsung’s range of displays was designed specifically to meet the needs of businesses and consumers who want to experience the maximum benefit from the applications and multimedia capabilities that personal computing can offer, all on one widescreen display.

Designed to fit in perfectly with any stylish home or office, the Samsung SM225BW fields a full array of powerful capabilities including support for 1680x1050 picture resolution with a response time of 5ms, and 88dpi (dots per inch). This impressive line-up should ensure that movies and images will be displayed clearer than ever, and the bundled speakers can be easily removed to maximise convenience.

For those who are always on the go at work or home and regularly flip between multiple documents, the 22-inch screen size (exactly the same size as two pieces of A4-sized paper when placed side-by-side) makes it the ideal display for those who have to work with multiple programmes and documents at the same time.

For flexibility, the display height is adjustable up to 100mm, and its HDCP (High-Bandwidth Digital Content Protection) format support enables you to enjoy real-time TV broadcasting and movie DVDs even via DVI terminals, powering connectivity with a variety of AV input devices. To ensure future proofing, the Samsung SM225BW also supports Windows Vista, the next generation Microsoft operating system.
