Samsung SyncMaster 931C Rivals CRT Quality

Samsung Electronics has announced the launch of its latest 19-inch LCD monitor, the SyncMaster 931C.

This new display ranks amongst the most visually powerful within the industry, offering a previously unseen 97 per cent CCFL colour reproduction, one of the highest figures available, and similar to that of CRT quality.

Allegedly unsurpassed in its vividness and richness of colour expression, the SM931C should be ideal for multimedia users, gamers and amateur photographers alike. The 97 per cent colour reproduction technology means that whether looking at pictures, watching movies or playing super-detailed video games, the SM931C should dramatically improve your viewing experience, delivering impressive natural colour.

Ami Randhawa, Product Marketing Manager for the Display division at Samsung UK, says “We are delighted Samsung is able to lead the way in display technology with the SM931C. This is a key milestone for any display manufacturer - we have achieved CRT performance quality in a TFT LCD display. The display offers a much sharper picture, the best colour replication and increased response time. The SM931C is a truly versatile product, whether dedicated gamer or graphic designer - you’ll be able to clearly see the difference.”

The SM913C is the official monitor of the World Cyber Games (WCG) 2006, the largest cyber games tournament in the world. The screen was chosen for its superb colour reproduction in addition to an exceptionally high 2000:1 contrast ratio (dynamic, 700:1 regular) and 2ms response time, enabling users to truly experience the games they are playing. The only downsides are a native resolution of 1280x1024 (75Hz) and image brightness of just 250cd/m2.
