Mobile Cohesion's HYDRA Builds on Market Advantage in Asian Region |
|
Mobile Cohesion, the UK based telecommunications software firm, has announced further deals with operators in Asia that prove the true value of 3rd party relationship management - achieved through the flexibility and extensibility of its HYDRA product suite.
Asian operators tend to focus much more on revenue derived from content based services rather than traditional voice services. As a result there has been an explosion in the number of content focused application vendors servicing the operator community. Because of this, there is burgeoning demand from local operators for a platform that focuses on managing service levels between operators and content partners - as well revenue sharing between parties. This is likely to be a key theme of the CommunicAsia show this year.
HYDRA addresses the challenges and issues many operators face in managing both the relationship as well network traffic arising from the rapid growth in content partners and services. While subscribers demand more and more services, operators have had difficulty building systems to efficiently provision and manage these services. This is essential in order to define revenue share models, service performance tuning and partner relationships. In addition, different operators have unique requirements in terms of functional mix - especially in the Asian region.
According to Richard McConnell, Mobile Cohesion's Chief Operating Officer, "Although we continue to be very successful in the region with our HYDRA solution we are starting to see a much broader array of requirements. Mobile operators are clearly arriving at the decision that they need a partner relationship management solution in different ways.
Some focused on revenue sharing models and automation of the partner relationships - in short more business focused elements. Others are looking for a true 3rd party gateway that manages the use of network resources in order to preserve the integrity of the operator's network."
He continued, "the advantage that HYDRA brings is an architecture that allows us to equip the operators with solutions that meet their needs now but might well evolve in the future. We focus on the 3 Ps - not just one or two. We take care of the partnerships, and the performance of the network resources in order to create profit for all parties. In Asia we're finding that the three elements have different weights in each operator we work with. But HYDRA can cope easily and can be adapted to diverse requirements. "
Mobile Cohesion staff will be on hand to discuss the varying user requirements in terms of partner relationship management at CommunicAsia 20-23rd June, 2006 Singapore Expo on the UK pavilion, located in Hall 5, booth number 5F2-06.
