ViewSonic VP2130b Pro 21-inch LCD Monitor

Following the launch of the VX2025wm, ViewSonic’s new VP2130b is a high-end 21-inch LCD monitor which promises performance plus ergonomics.

The 21-inch LCD is designed for professional users that require ‘exceptional’ viewing performance and maximum ergonomics. The high-end model can pivot (90 degrees), swivel horizontally (270 degrees), is adjustable in height (to 135mm) and can be tilted.

In addition the monitor is shipped with PerfectSuite management software, allowing image quality and colours to be comfortably adjusted by simply using the mouse. A handy Wizard assistant guides you through the calibration process with explanations and test screens. All important settings as well as the theft deterrence function can be administered via the PerfectSuite software.

Technical highlights include a contrast ratio of 1000:1, viewing angles of 178 degrees (h/v), response time of 8ms (grey to grey), and brightness of 300cd/m². Connectivity options include an analogue D-Sub and digital DVI-I. The screen has a native resolution of 1600x1200 pixels and costs £699.

Anyone purchasing a 17-, 19-, 20- or 21inch model from the ViewSonic Professional series will now also benefit from an improved regulation for dealing with pixel errors. You can return the product up to 15 days after purchase - even if only a single sub-pixel is constantly bright on a dark background.

The limited timeframe for return is calculated on the basis of the fact that 99 per cent of such types of sub-pixel errors result after a single normal thermo cycle (i.e. after the display has been on for a period, then off for a period and then on again - hot, cold, hot).
